Why worry now about leaving messages in case we die? There are numerous reasons why this should be addressed today.
Firstly, there is no second chance. The opportunity shouldn’t be missed because if a tree falls on us, we unexpectedly land up on a ventilator or we receive a terminal diagnosis. Will we be able to then meet this obligation?
Most people arrange life insurance, if they are able too. This is part of an inherent part of our inner desire to look after our loved ones, financially, if we pass away.
Following on from that could be a similar desire to fulfill our emotional duty to our loved ones and provide them with comfort, in what will be a trying time. This can be achieved by them hearing, seeing or reading words from us, whether they be affirmations, hopes and dreams or they convey appreciation for the role someone has played in your life.
Conversely, we should personally get fulfillment knowing we have taken the extra step towards completing our duties as parents, family members, friends or even perhaps colleagues.
Many people say our legacy is the knowledge and life skills we pass onto our children, depending on their age, that may not be appropriate when we pass away and perhaps we need to fulfill this aspect of our legacy by ensuring they have the chance to receive those messages when they are slightly older.
Finally, sensitivity, we should find even more assurance knowing we can have a way that will avoid unnecessary emotional hardship
